How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
1. Measure with a Ring You Already Own
-
Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you’ll wear your new ring.
-
Measure the inside diameter in millimetres.
-
Use the chart below to match your measurement to a UK ring size.
2. Measure Your Finger
-
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
-
Wrap it around the base of your finger – snug, but not too tight.
-
Mark where the ends meet and measure the length in millimetres.
-
Compare your measurement with the “finger circumference” column in the chart.

Tips for Accurate Sizing
-
Measure at the end of the day: Fingers tend to be smaller in the morning and larger in the evening.
-
Consider the weather: Cold weather can shrink your fingers, while heat can make them swell.
-
Account for wider bands: A wide ring may feel tighter – you might prefer going up half a size.
-
Double-check your size: If you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one for comfort.
