Finding the perfect ring size is just as important as choosing the perfect design. At Searle & Co Jewellers, we want your ring to feel as comfortable as it is beautiful. Use our guide below to help determine the right size before you order or visit us in-store for expert assistance.

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

1. Measure with a Ring You Already Own

  • Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you’ll wear your new ring.

  • Measure the inside diameter in millimetres.

  • Use the chart below to match your measurement to a UK ring size.

2. Measure Your Finger

  • Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.

  • Wrap it around the base of your finger – snug, but not too tight.

  • Mark where the ends meet and measure the length in millimetres.

  • Compare your measurement with the “finger circumference” column in the chart.

Tips for Accurate Sizing

  • Measure at the end of the day: Fingers tend to be smaller in the morning and larger in the evening.

  • Consider the weather: Cold weather can shrink your fingers, while heat can make them swell.

  • Account for wider bands: A wide ring may feel tighter – you might prefer going up half a size.

  • Double-check your size: If you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one for comfort.
